Apple is reportedly preparing a major promotional offer for customers in the United States by giving away free AirPods Pro 3 to users who sign up for the Apple Card.
According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, the new incentive could launch as early as next week and will reportedly be available only at Apple retail stores.
The promotion is expected to attract more customers to Apple’s credit card service, which has faced growing competition in the digital payments and rewards market.
Customers Could Receive AirPods Pro 3 for Free
Under the reported offer, customers who apply for and receive approval for the Apple Card in-store will get $249 in cashback when purchasing the new AirPods Pro 3.
Since the AirPods Pro 3 are expected to retail for exactly $249, the cashback effectively makes the earbuds free for eligible buyers.
The deal could become one of Apple’s boldest retail promotions in recent years, especially as the company continues to strengthen its ecosystem of devices, services, and financial products.
Apple Card Continues Expanding Its Reach
The Apple Card was first introduced in 2019 in partnership with Goldman Sachs and Mastercard.
The credit card is designed primarily for iPhone users and offers cashback rewards on purchases made through Apple Pay and other Apple services. Users can manage the card directly from their iPhone using the Wallet app.
Apple has been pushing the Apple Card as part of its broader financial services strategy, which also includes savings accounts, installment payment options, and digital wallet features.
Promotion Aims to Boost Apple Card Signups
Industry analysts believe the free AirPods Pro 3 offer could significantly increase Apple Card applications, particularly among younger customers already invested in the Apple ecosystem.
Although Apple has not officially confirmed the promotion, the report from Bloomberg suggests the company is preparing for a strong retail push ahead of upcoming product launches later this year.
If launched, the offer may become one of the most talked-about Apple retail promotions of 2026.
