Apple has officially refreshed its iPad Pro lineup, unveiling new 11-inch and 13-inch models powered by the company’s latest silicon, including the M5 chip, along with the N1 and C1X chips for enhanced wireless and connectivity performance.

The M5 chip, introduced alongside the latest MacBook Pro 14-inch and Vision Pro, delivers major performance upgrades across CPU, GPU, and AI processing. It features a 10-core CPU (four performance and six efficiency cores) and a 10-core GPU with dedicated neural accelerators in each core. Apple claims the M5’s performance cores are the fastest in the world, while its memory bandwidth has been boosted to 153GB/s.

Compared to the M4, the M5 offers up to 3.5x faster AI performance, a 1.5x improvement in ray-traced 3D rendering, and 1.2x faster video transcoding in Final Cut Pro. The chip also enhances video output, now supporting up to 120Hz on external displays and Adaptive Sync (VRR) for smoother visuals on compatible monitors.

The new iPad Pro models also benefit from increased memory capacity. The 256GB and 512GB variants now come with 12GB RAM (up from 8GB), while the 1TB and 2TB models continue to offer 16GB RAM.

Connectivity sees a major upgrade with the addition of the N1 wireless chip and C1X modem, both of which debuted in the latest iPhone series. This brings faster and more stable network performance, ensuring seamless productivity and streaming experiences.

Charging has also been improved. The iPad Pro now supports Apple’s new 40W Dynamic Power Adapter (60W Max), enabling fast charging—up to 50% in 30 minutes for the 11-inch model and 35 minutes for the 13-inch version.

Design and display remain unchanged, featuring the same Tandem OLED Ultra Retina XDR panels, 12MP rear camera, 12MP Center Stage front camera, four-speaker setup, and Thunderbolt/USB4 port.

Pricing remains consistent, starting at $999 for the 11-inch and $1,299 for the 13-inch model, while cellular versions start at $1,199 and $1,499, respectively. The new iPad Pro lineup is set to redefine performance for professional tablet users.
