Apple is gearing up for a blockbuster year in 2025, with several high-profile launches on the horizon.
According to Mark Gurman’s latest Power On newsletter, the tech giant is planning an array of product releases that promise innovation and performance enhancements.
New MacBook Air Models
Apple is set to begin the year with the launch of new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models, codenamed J713 and J715. These lightweight laptops are already in production and will debut the Apple M4 chip, delivering improved speed and efficiency.
As successors to the popular M2-based models, these MacBooks are expected to set new standards in portable computing.
Affordable iPhone SE in Spring
The iPhone SE is anticipated to launch in Spring 2025, offering a budget-friendly option at a starting price of $429. This next-generation SE model will adopt the sleek design of the iPhone 14 and will feature the advanced Apple A18 chipset. Additionally, it will be Apple’s first affordable device to incorporate in-house modem technology, ensuring faster and more reliable connectivity.
Upgraded iPads and iPad Airs
Gurman reports that Apple is also preparing to release two new entry-level iPads (J481 and J482) equipped with the Apple A17 Pro chip and 8GB of RAM. These tablets, sharing similarities with the current iPad mini, will be powerful enough to support Apple’s Intelligence platform seamlessly.
Meanwhile, new iPad Air models (J607, J608, J637, and J638) are expected to arrive with the Apple M4 chip. Maintaining the same design as the 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Airs introduced last year, these devices will provide enhanced performance for professionals and creatives alike.
Smart Home Hub Debut
Apple’s first smart home hub device is also in the works. Featuring a 7-inch touchscreen, this gadget will enable users to manage household tasks, run apps, and make video calls. Designed for versatility, it can function independently on countertops or be wall-mounted. Apple is targeting a March launch, though general availability may take longer.
iPhone 17 Series in Fall
Closing out the year, Apple will unveil the iPhone 17 lineup, including the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, and the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air. The Air, measuring just 5.5mm at its slimmest point, will feature a base-level A19 chip and a single rear camera, offering a streamlined, futuristic design.
