Ariana Grande has shared a heartfelt message with her fans following the massive success of her new film, Wicked: For Good. The 32-year-old singer and actress posted a deeply emotional letter on Instagram on Sunday, November 23, shortly after the musical fantasy film claimed the top spot at the global box office.
Addressing fans as “my sweet, fellow Ozians,” Ariana expressed how profoundly the world of Oz has shaped her life. She wrote, “Oz has been my safe space for as long as I can remember. The characters within these pages teach us how to love unconditionally, to laugh, to forgive even when it’s most painful, and to protect ourselves and each other.”
Reflecting on her lifelong connection with the iconic story, she revealed that she first fell in love with Wicked at the age of ten. “It has been an escape and a place where I knew I could find comfort and understanding throughout my childhood and adult life,” she shared.
Ariana went on to describe the overwhelming experience of becoming Glinda the Good—a role she cherished long before she ever imagined playing it onscreen. “Loving something dearly and becoming it are two very different things. Becoming your Glinda the Good and joining this incredible group of human beings on a creatively and emotionally fulfilling journey was the greatest gift of my life,” she wrote. She added that Glinda taught her more than any other role she has ever played.
The singer also expressed gratitude for how the film has resonated with audiences: “To see how it has moved and been there for you in the same way it has for me has been the most meaningful, moving, and cherished gift. You’ll never know what it truly means to me.”
Before signing off as “Your Glinda,” Ariana left fans with a comforting message:
“Whenever things get scary or you feel alone, remember that home is wherever and with whomever we want it to be, and there’s no place like home. Your chosen Ozian family loves you exactly as you are.”
Wicked: For Good was released in cinemas on November 21, 2025. The film achieved a powerful opening weekend, earning $150 million in North America and $226 million worldwide, securing one of the biggest box office debuts of the year.
