DUBAI – In a significant employment initiative, around 600 Pakistanis are set to secure jobs in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as professional drivers, offering them a gateway to stable careers and improved livelihoods.
The Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai, in partnership with New Horizon, successfully hosted Career Fair 2025 on August 6–7. The event was designed to provide direct employment opportunities for Pakistanis in the UAE, focusing specifically on vacancies in the road transport sector. Walk-in interviews were conducted to fill over 600 driver positions, attracting 476 eligible candidates. Of these, 311 were shortlisted for the crucial road test phase.
H.E. Hussain Muhammad, Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, praised the Community Welfare Wing of the Consulate for organizing the event. He emphasized that such initiatives strengthen the presence of Pakistanis in the UAE job market and reflect the Consulate’s ongoing commitment to the welfare of overseas nationals.
Eligibility requirements for the positions included holding a valid UAE driving license for at least six months, basic English communication skills, and good knowledge of UAE road networks. Successful candidates will enjoy attractive benefits such as medical insurance and an RTA card, enhancing both job security and quality of life.
This initiative is part of broader efforts to connect skilled Pakistanis with sustainable employment abroad, supporting economic growth for individuals and contributing to Pakistan’s remittance inflows.
