Strong motorcycle demand and higher sales volumes drive Atlas Honda’s earnings growth during the first quarter ended June 30, 2026.
Atlas Honda Limited has reported a strong financial performance for the first quarter of FY2026-27, posting a 25 percent increase in profit after tax for the three months ended June 30, 2026.
The company’s profit after tax reached approximately Rs6 billion, compared to Rs4.8 billion recorded during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
The leading motorcycle manufacturer also witnessed significant growth in revenue during the quarter. Net sales climbed to Rs81.5 billion, up from Rs62.3 billion in the same period last year, reflecting a robust increase of 30.8 percent.
The rise in sales highlights strong market demand and improved business activity in the country’s two-wheeler segment.
Atlas Honda’s gross profit also recorded healthy growth during the period under review. Gross profit stood at Rs9.4 billion, compared with Rs7.8 billion in the first quarter of the previous fiscal year.
The increase was supported by higher sales volumes and improved revenue generation, contributing positively to the company’s overall profitability.
However, operating costs also moved upward during the quarter. Sales and marketing expenses rose to Rs1.5 billion from Rs1.17 billion a year earlier, representing an increase of nearly 32 percent.
The company attributed the higher expenditure primarily to increased sales volumes and rising freight and distribution costs, which impacted overall operating expenses.
Despite the increase in marketing and distribution costs, Atlas Honda maintained strong earnings growth.
Earnings per share (EPS) improved to Rs48.48 during the first quarter, compared to Rs38.74 in the corresponding period of FY2025-26.
The higher EPS reflects the company’s improved profitability and ability to generate greater returns for shareholders.
The latest financial results underscore Atlas Honda’s strong position in Pakistan’s motorcycle industry. Continued growth in sales, coupled with improved profitability, has enabled the company to deliver a solid start to FY2026-27.
Market observers believe that sustained consumer demand and effective business operations could support further growth in the coming quarters.
