KARACHI – The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Preventive has officially announced the upcoming auction of a large number of confiscated vehicles. The event is scheduled to take place on August 20, 2019, at the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Headquarters, located at NMB Wharf, Ghass Bandar, East Wharf, Karachi.

This auction will be held under the supervision of the ASO, which operates as part of MCC Preventive’s broader initiative to dispose of non-duty paid and smuggled vehicles. The ASO plays a vital role in curbing smuggling activities, and such auctions are part of its routine operations to clear impounded inventory.

A diverse range of 24 used vehicles will be presented for bidding. These include premium brands such as Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, and Honda, covering models from the 1980s up to 2015. The vehicles vary in engine capacity from compact cars like the 996cc Toyota Passo (2010) to high-powered jeeps like the 4476cc Toyota Land Cruiser (1995). All units were seized during ASO enforcement actions and are now available to the public through this open bidding process.

Highlighted listings include:

• Toyota Lexus (2006), Toyota Harrier Jeep (1998), and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (2000, 1998)

• Multiple models of Toyota Hilux Surf Jeeps and Mark-X sedans

• Luxury saloon cars including Mercedes-Benz (1991, 2007) and Toyota Premio (2004)

• Honda Civic Hybrid (2008) and Toyota Corolla (2015)

Each vehicle’s registration number, model year, engine capacity, chassis number, and engine number have been carefully documented. Prospective bidders are encouraged to inspect the vehicles in person before the auction day. The full inventory will be displayed at the ASO Headquarters prior to the sale.

It is worth noting that the MCC Preventive, in collaboration with ASO, conducts such auctions periodically as part of its policy to transparently dispose of seized goods. These events attract a wide audience of dealers, resellers, and private buyers seeking high-value vehicles at competitive prices.

Interested participants should bring valid identification and prepare the required documents for registration on the day of the auction. For further details, contact the ASO office at NMB Wharf or visit the official Customs notice board.

This auction offers a rare opportunity for automobile enthusiasts and dealers to acquire quality vehicles at public bidding.
