Australia Unveil Blockbuster 2025-26 Home Season Fixture

Cricket Australia has officially announced the highly anticipated fixtures for the 2025-26 home season, promising an action-packed schedule for both the men’s and women’s national teams.

The upcoming season will see Australia hosting three cricketing giants—South Africa, India, and England—across multiple formats in what is expected to be a thrilling year of international cricket.

The Australian men’s team will kick off their home season in August 2025 with a white-ball series against South Africa. The two teams will face off in three T20 Internationals followed by three One Day Internationals (ODIs), marking a return to some of Australia’s northern cricketing venues, including Darwin and Cairns. This limited-overs contest will serve as crucial preparation for Australia ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.

As the season progresses, Australia will welcome India for a blockbuster bilateral series later in the year. The two teams will battle in a three-match ODI series before making history with the first-ever five-match T20I series between them. Given the fierce rivalry between Australia and India, these encounters are expected to draw significant global attention.

However, the most anticipated highlight of the season will be the prestigious Ashes series, where Pat Cummins’ Australian side will aim to retain the iconic trophy against Ben Stokes’ England. Having dominated the Ashes since the 2017-18 series, Australia will be eager to extend their stronghold in the five-match Test series, which will span from November 2025 to January 2026.

The Australian women’s team will also have an exciting schedule, hosting India for a multi-format series in February 2026. The tour will feature three T20Is, three ODIs, and a one-off Test match, reinforcing the growing intensity and competitiveness of women’s cricket in Australia.

Cricket Australia CEO Todd Greenberg expressed his enthusiasm for the forthcoming season, emphasizing its significance for Australian cricket. “We are thrilled to unveil what promises to be a historic and action-filled international season. The Ashes, our fierce contests with India, and the return of South Africa to northern Australia create an incredible schedule. The passion and excitement among fans continue to grow, and we are confident that the momentum from last season will carry forward into another record-breaking year.”

With matches set to take place across iconic venues in Australia, cricket fans are in for a spectacular season filled with high-stakes battles, intense rivalries, and unforgettable moments.
