PMD predicts date for Eid-ul-Fitr 2026
Islamabad, February 24, 2026 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that the new moon of Shawwal 1447 AH is unlikely to be sighted on the evening of March 19, 2026, corresponding to the 29th day of Ramazan 1447 AH. Based on these scientific calculations, Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 is expected to fall on March 21, 2026.

Suspension isn’t termination: Supreme Court protects civil servants’ salaries
