Azeem Hussain Siddiqui Assumes Office as ICMAP President

KARACHI — Azeem Hussain Siddiqui has taken charge as the President of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP), following the successful completion of the Institute’s constitutional election process for the remaining 2024–2026 term, according to a press release.

ICMAP also announced its newly elected office bearers, with Muhammad Yasin assuming office as Vice President, Abdul Qayyum as Honorary Secretary, and Intzar Hussain as Honorary Treasurer. The new leadership brings together extensive professional expertise, institutional experience, and a shared commitment to strengthening the ICMA profession in Pakistan while enhancing its global standing.

Azeem Hussain Siddiqui is a seasoned professional with wide-ranging expertise in accounting, taxation, corporate laws, and governance. He is a Fellow Member of ICMAP, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP), and the Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan. Currently, he serves as a Partner at Naveed Zafar Ashfaq Jaffery & Co and has previously worked with KPMG Taseer Hadi & Co, gaining significant experience in advisory and assurance services.

Siddiqui has remained actively involved in professional governance and institutional development. He is presently a Member of the ICMA National Council (2024–2026) and has served two consecutive terms on the Karachi Branch Council from 2019 to 2024, including three years as Chairman. He has also contributed to several committees and currently chairs the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Committee.

At the regional level, Siddiqui has served as Honorary Secretary of ICMAP and as a Technical Advisor at the SAFA Board, contributing to committees on Sustainability Reporting and Assurance and Accounting Standards.

Beyond the accounting profession, he serves as Honorary Treasurer of the Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre, one of Pakistan’s leading NGOs, and Honorary Vice President of the Pakistan Quiz Society International. He is also a frequent speaker at professional seminars and workshops, particularly on taxation and corporate law.
