As winter tightens its grip, the PMD warns of continued dense fog over the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, upper Sindh, and Islamabad over the next few days, urging citizens to exercise caution.
The synoptic situation, as reported by the PMD, indicates that continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country, contributing to the persistent cold conditions. Daytime temperatures are expected to remain below normal in most parts of Punjab, primarily due to the lingering dense fog.

The recorded lowest minimum temperatures in various regions during this period further underscored the severity of the winter chill: Leh at -12°C, Skardu at -09°C, Gilgit, Astore, and Kalam at -06°C, and Srinagar at -05°C.
