Ben Affleck Selling Mansion to Cut Ties with Jennifer Lopez

Ben Affleck is reportedly ready to close the final chapter of his marriage to Jennifer Lopez by selling their shared $60 million Beverly Hills mansion.

The decision follows the couple’s finalized divorce in January 2025.  According to a source cited by the Daily Mail, the Batman actor is eager to part ways with the lavish property as a symbolic step in moving forward with his life.

The insider revealed that the couple has already slashed the asking price by $8 million, but Affleck is unconcerned about the financial loss.

“Ben and J.Lo dropped the price of the house to $8 million less than he originally paid, but to Ben, that’s nothing,” the source said. “He just wants to sell it as soon as possible so he can cut the last cord that connects him to Jennifer.”

Affleck, who reportedly “never really wanted” the home, views the mansion as a lingering reminder of the relationship. The source added, “The marriage and divorce cost him millions — what’s another two million to him at this point?”

With the property now up for sale, Affleck is said to be focused on moving on with his life. “Ben is ready to move on, close this chapter, and focus on the things that really matter,” the insider shared. “He just wants to live his life — a life that, for the most part, has been lucky. There have been many successes, but with them come some losses.”

As for the division of assets, both stars have retained ownership of projects and investments made during their marriage. Affleck continues to hold his share in his production company, Artists Equity, while Lopez maintains control over her creative ventures, including her album This Is Me… Now.

With the mansion on the market, Ben Affleck is taking a final step to distance himself from his past with Jennifer Lopez. The move reflects his desire for closure and a fresh start, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.
