Karachi, August 5, 2023 – Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Foreign Minister of Pakistan, achieved a significant milestone on Saturday by laying the foundation of the FPCCI Tower, a monumental project that promises to elevate Pakistan’s economic landscape.

The ceremony took place during his visit to the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), the country’s apex trade body.

The FPCCI Tower project holds great importance for Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as it reflects the realization of the vision set forth by his late mother and two-time Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. Expressing profound satisfaction, the foreign minister emphasized that this tower will serve as a pivotal platform to propel Pakistan towards a high-growth trajectory. By enabling the business, industry, and trade community to reach their full potential, the FPCCI Tower aims to foster economic development on a grand scale.

During the inauguration, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari pledged his support for the infrastructure development of the project through a public-private partnership mechanism. He highlighted the remarkable progress achieved in the recent past through such partnerships, which have contributed significantly to the well-being of the country, especially the province of Sindh.

Highlighting the significance of the project during his tenure as President of FPCCI, Sheikh expressed his desire to see the FPCCI Tower completed in the shortest possible time. Prominent leaders in the business community also voiced their confidence in Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s leadership. Mian Anjum Nisar, former President of FPCCI, praised the young and energetic foreign minister’s proactive role in Pakistan’s progress within just 15 months. Meanwhile, Mian Nasser Hyatt Maggo, the immediate past President of FPCCI, believes that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will assume even greater responsibilities in the years to come. He also highlighted the need to involve the private sector more actively in the recently formed investment council.
