Binance Academy, the educational arm of global crypto exchange Binance, has partnered with Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom (MoITT) to launch a national blockchain education initiative aimed at reshaping the country’s digital future.

This groundbreaking collaboration is designed to equip professors, educators, and students with advanced blockchain knowledge, supporting the integration of this transformative technology into Pakistan’s academic landscape.

Through this initiative, Binance Academy will help educate 300 professors across 20 top universities, ultimately reaching over 80,000 students by 2026. The program’s core mission is to build a pipeline of blockchain-literate professionals, prepared to contribute to both Pakistan’s local tech scene and the broader global digital economy. The training will span various topics related to blockchain technology, Web3, and cryptocurrency, empowering Pakistan’s next generation with future-ready skills.

This ambitious national effort builds on the success of the Global University Outreach Program (GUOP), launched through Binance Academy in collaboration with the Blockchain & AI Technology Center (BAITC). GUOP is already the world’s largest Web3 educational initiative, targeting over 200 universities in 50 countries and aiming to educate more than one million students by 2026.

Commenting on the partnership, Bader Al Kalooti, Head of Growth and Operations for the MEASA region at Binance, stated, “This collaboration with Pakistan’s Ministry of IT and Telecom is a significant step forward in cultivating a workforce capable of driving innovation across all sectors of the digital economy. By building blockchain expertise at the grassroots level, Binance is reinforcing its commitment to supporting tech-driven development in emerging economies.”

Minister of IT and Telecom, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, highlighted the alignment of the initiative with the government’s digital vision. She emphasized that the partnership will not only boost economic growth but also establish Pakistan as a hub of skilled blockchain talent. She praised Binance and BAITC for helping to position Pakistani youth at the forefront of global technological advancement.

The partnership also underscores Binance’s long-term strategy of promoting responsible blockchain adoption through collaboration with governments and educational institutions. Since 2022, Binance Academy has already trained over 3,000 students in Pakistan, setting the foundation for this nationwide rollout.

As Pakistan embraces digital transformation, this initiative stands as a bold step toward fostering innovation, job creation, and leadership in the global blockchain space.
