Blake Lively and her former Gossip Girl co-star Zuzanna Szadkowski recently delighted fans with a nostalgic reunion—this time with a fizzy twist.
The pair teamed up for a humorous new advertisement for Lively’s canned cocktail brand, Betty Booze, blending their signature chemistry with a dash of Gossip Girl charm.
Released on YouTube on June 30, the ad features Lively, 37, and Szadkowski, 46, seated on a bench in New York’s Central Park.
Their playful exchange nods to their Gossip Girl roles—Lively as the glamorous Serena van der Woodsen and Szadkowski as her loyal housekeeper-turned-confidante, Dorota Kishlovsky.
The spot kicks off with Szadkowski teasing, “I have tea,” a cheeky reference to the long-running fan theory that Dorota, not Dan Humphrey, should have been the real Gossip Girl.
Lively, staying in character, asks, “Good tea?” prompting Szadkowski to unveil a can of Betty Booze’s vodka iced tea. “It’s crisp. Balanced. Nothing artificial,” she says while pouring the drink into fine china.
Lively responds, “That’s hard to find around these parts,” keeping the banter alive. The ad continues with the introduction of another flavor—passion fruit vodka iced tea—which Szadkowski boldly describes as “a naughty little bitch.” Lively jokes, “So I’ve heard,” as Szadkowski admits she drank it on the way there, prompting Lively to laugh and say, “I have missed you.”
Before walking off, Lively stands to reveal that beneath her elegant attire, she’s wearing sweatpants and Ugg boots—an amusing callback to a viral Gossip Girl blooper from season 6, where Lively was unintentionally spotted wearing similar cozy attire under a formal outfit.
The commercial seamlessly merges nostalgia with branding, offering fans a humorous and heartwarming reunion while promoting Lively’s growing Betty Booze line. With familiar faces, witty nods, and refreshing drinks, the ad captures the spirit of Gossip Girl in a whole new flavor.
