Bollywood Actress Shefali Jariwala Dies Suddenly at 42

Bollywood actress and reality TV personality Shefali Jariwala passed away unexpectedly at the age of 42 due to a cardiac arrest on the night of June 27, 2025.

The tragic incident occurred in Mumbai, sending shockwaves across the entertainment industry and among fans.

Shefali was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital late Friday night by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, accompanied by three others.

However, doctors declared her dead on arrival. According to hospital staff, Shefali had already passed away before reaching the facility. Her body was later transferred to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Renowned journalist Vickey Lalwani reported that Shefali was brought to the hospital around 11:25 p.m. Dr. Vijay Lulla, the attending cardiologist at Bellevue, declined to comment further on the case.

Shefali Jariwala rose to fame in 2002 with her iconic appearance in the music video Kaanta Laga, which became an instant hit and made her a household name across India.

Her popularity surged further with her roles in Bollywood films such as Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and her participation in dance reality shows Nach Baliye 5 and Nach Baliye 7 alongside her husband.

She later became a prominent contestant on the reality show Bigg Boss 13, earning admiration for her candid personality and resilience. Off-screen, Shefali bravely spoke about her battle with epilepsy, which she managed through treatment and significant lifestyle changes.
