Fans who are new to the global K-pop phenomenon BTS no longer have to wonder where to start. The seven members recently shared their personal song recommendations for newcomers to the BTS fandom during a special online segment.
In a newly released video by GQ, the members — RM, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, J-Hope, Suga, and V — went undercover online to answer fan questions from platforms including X, Reddit, TikTok, Quora, and YouTube.
One Reddit user who had recently joined the BTS ARMY asked the group a simple question: “What songs should a total newbie listen to?”
The members quickly responded with several suggestions. They recommended starting with tracks from their upcoming album Arirang, describing it as a great introduction to the group’s evolving musical style after their hiatus.
The group also highlighted several popular songs from their earlier catalog. Jimin suggested ON and We Are Bulletproof Pt. 2, while RM recommended My Universe as another essential track for beginners.
Their global hit Dynamite was also included among the must-listen songs for anyone exploring BTS for the first time.
At one point, V suggested older tracks such as Fire, Just One Day, Like, and Autumn Leaves, though some members joked that a few of those songs might feel “too old,” with Suga pointing out that Fire was released nearly a decade ago.
The interactive video arrives just weeks before the release of Arirang, scheduled for March 20, which marks one of BTS’s most significant projects since completing their mandatory military service and returning to activities as a full group.
With excitement building worldwide, the upcoming album is expected to attract both longtime ARMY members and new listeners discovering the band for the first time.
