BYD has introduced a refreshed version of its popular Atto 3 electric crossover, known as the Yuan Plus in China. The 2025 model arrives with a lower starting price of just 115,800 yuan (approximately $15,940 USD), a 1,000-yuan reduction from the previous model.
This price adjustment aims to strengthen the Atto 3’s position in China’s fiercely competitive EV market. Alongside the attractive pricing, BYD has incorporated a range of new features, including a built-in refrigerator and the advanced God’s Eye C (DiPilot 100) ADAS system.
Refreshed Styling and Upgraded Interior
The updated Atto 3 boasts a refreshed exterior design, featuring a larger trapezoidal air intake, smoked headlights, darkened D-pillars, and a new roof spoiler equipped with dual brake lights.
The vehicle’s dimensions remain unchanged at 4455 mm in length, 1875 mm in width, and 1615 mm in height, with a 2720 mm wheelbase. A notable change at the rear is the replacement of the previous “Build Your Dreams” inscription with the BYD emblem.
Inside, the 2025 Atto 3 introduces new beige and gray interior color schemes. The redesigned center console now features two cup holders, physical buttons, and a 50W wireless charging pad.
A new steering wheel incorporates a gear shifter, while the cabin includes an 8.8-inch instrument cluster, a 12-inch head-up display, and a driver-monitoring camera integrated into the A-pillar. Additionally, a built-in refrigerator enhances convenience for passengers.
Advanced ADAS with God’s Eye C (DiPilot 100)
The highlight of the Atto 3’s upgrade is its intelligent driving system, God’s Eye C (DiPilot 100). This advanced driver-assistance system, powered by a tri-camera setup under the windshield, enables high-speed Navigation On Autopilot (NOA) with support for 10 driving scenarios.
BYD has also announced plans to expand NOA functionality to include city driving in future software updates, further enhancing the Atto 3’s semi-autonomous capabilities.
Powertrain and Pricing Details
The Atto 3 retains its proven powertrain, featuring a single 150 kW (201 hp) electric motor driving the front axle. Buyers can choose between two LFP battery options, offering 430 km and 510 km of CLTC-rated range, respectively.
The 2025 BYD Atto 3 is available in five trim levels, with pricing ranging from 115,800 to 145,800 yuan ($15,940 to $20,070 USD). While the base model sees a price reduction, the top-tier variant experiences a slight increase, reflecting the added features and improved technology.
