Cambridge Confirms Postponement of A-Level Maths Paper 32

Cambridge International Education has officially confirmed the postponement of Cambridge International A Level Mathematics Paper 32 (9709) for students in Pakistan during the June 2026 exam series.

The announcement was made on May 13, 2026, following discussions with key stakeholders in Pakistan. The examination authority said the decision was taken as a “precautionary step” to strengthen exam security and identification measures ahead of the scheduled paper on Friday, May 15.

According to Cambridge, the postponed paper will be replaced with a completely new examination paper for candidates in Pakistan.

Replacement Exam Date to Be Announced

Cambridge stated that the new date for the replacement examination will be communicated within the June 2026 exam series by Friday, May 22.

In its official statement, Cambridge said:

“Following discussions with key stakeholders in Pakistan, and as an additional security and identification measure, we are taking the precautionary step of postponing the exam for Cambridge International A Level Mathematics Paper 32 (9709).”

The examination body also instructed schools and exam centres across Pakistan to keep all existing Paper 32 documents completely secure until further instructions are issued.

Cambridge Assures Students Over Fairness

Cambridge emphasized that its main priority is to ensure that students are not negatively affected by the incident. The authority added that it is continuing to take all possible measures to protect the integrity and fairness of its examinations.

The statement further noted:

“Our priority is to ensure that students are not disadvantaged by this incident, and we continue to take all possible measures to protect the integrity of our exams.”

Students have also been advised to continue preparing for upcoming examinations despite the postponement.

Results Date Remains Unchanged

Cambridge confirmed that the release date for Cambridge International AS & A Level results will remain unchanged. The results are scheduled to be announced on August 11, 2026.

The examination authority also addressed reports circulating on social media regarding paper leaks, stating that while it does not comment on individual allegations, all reports are thoroughly investigated.

Cambridge urged students and parents to rely only on official statements and avoid spreading misinformation online, calling such rumors “very unhelpful for students.”
