A teaser featuring taillights similar to the global 7th-generation Honda City has fueled speculation about its possible Pakistan debut in September.
Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan is expected to introduce the 7th Generation Honda City at the upcoming Pakistan Auto Show 2026, scheduled to take place in September. However, the company has yet to officially confirm whether the new-generation sedan will make its debut at the event.
The speculation comes after the official social media page of the Pakistan Auto Show shared a blurred teaser showing what appears to be the rear lighting of an upcoming vehicle.
The teaser carries the message, “The wheels are turning. The engines are warming up. And something big is about to move. Stay tuned!”
The organization has also revealed that the Pakistan Auto Show will be held on September 18, 19 and 20, 2026, increasing anticipation about possible new vehicle launches and unveilings at the event.
Interestingly, the taillight shown in the teaser appears highly similar to the design used on the 7th-generation Honda City, further strengthening speculation that Honda Pakistan could showcase the model at the auto show. The lighting design in the teaser features a distinctive illuminated shape that closely resembles the global City’s rear lamps.
7th Generation Honda City
The 7th-generation Honda City, carrying the GN1/GN2 platform codes, was introduced globally in November 2019. Compared with its predecessor, the model received a significant redesign, larger dimensions and several upgrades aimed at giving it a more premium appearance and driving experience.
Globally, the City features a longer body measuring around 4,580 mm, along with a redesigned front fascia, prominent grille, sharp LED headlights and integrated daytime running lights. The rear design also received a major overhaul, including the distinctive LED taillights seen in the Pakistan Auto Show teaser.
Depending on the market, the 7th-generation City is offered with multiple powertrain options. These include a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated i-VTEC four-cylinder engine producing around 119 hp and 145 Nm, paired with a CVT. Certain international markets also receive a 1.0-liter turbocharged engine and Honda’s e:HEV strong-hybrid system.
Inside, the global City brings a more modern cabin with a redesigned dashboard, touchscreen infotainment system, smartphone connectivity, digital or semi-digital instrumentation and upgraded comfort and convenience features.
For now, Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan has not confirmed the 7th-generation Honda City’s launch. More details are expected as the Pakistan Auto Show approaches in September 2026.
