Master Changan Motors Limited has officially introduced its electric vehicle brand in Pakistan, showcasing the Deepal L07 sedan and Deepal S07 SUV at a grand event held at Dolmen Mall Clifton, Karachi.
The launch, which took place on Friday, marks a significant milestone in Pakistan’s automotive industry as Changan enters the electric vehicle (EV) market.
The Deepal L07 and S07 models are now available for pre-booking, with starting prices set at Rs15.5 million for the L07 sedan and Rs16.5 million for the S07 SUV.
In an effort to make electric vehicles more accessible and appealing to Pakistani consumers, the company is also offering a complimentary 7kWh wall charger for customers who pre-book these models. The booking amount for both vehicles is Rs3 million.
Changan Motors has committed to a substantial investment of $50 million in Pakistan’s EV ecosystem. This investment will cover the entire EV value chain, including the establishment of a widespread charging infrastructure across the country.
The company has announced that the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) manufacturing of these vehicles could commence within eight to ten months. Both the L07 and S07 boast an impressive range of approximately 500 kilometers on a full charge, with charging times expected to take around four hours.

At the launch event, senior officials from Changan Pakistan emphasized the company’s commitment to addressing the challenges faced by EV owners, particularly range anxiety.
The CEO of Changan Motors, Daniyal Malik, highlighted that the company plans to install electric charging stations in 17 major cities across Pakistan.
This initiative aims to alleviate concerns about long-distance travel in EVs by ensuring that charging facilities are readily available.
Malik also revealed that Changan Motors is actively working on expanding its EV lineup, with plans to introduce around five new electric vehicle models in the Pakistani market in the near future.
The event, attended by top officials and dealers from across the country, reflects Changan’s dedication to revolutionizing the EV landscape in Pakistan, paving the way for a more sustainable automotive future.
