Chelsea Snaps Up French Star Disasi in Record-Breaking Deal

Chelsea Football Club has made a major defensive acquisition by signing French international defender Axel Disasi from Monaco.

The 25-year-old talent has committed to a lucrative six-year contract with the Blues in a record-breaking deal worth €45 million (£38.5 million).

The timing of Disasi’s arrival at Stamford Bridge couldn’t be more perfect, given the unfortunate knee injury to Wesley Fofana.

His addition to the squad offers much-needed defensive cover for the upcoming season. During the last campaign, Disasi demonstrated his exceptional skills and unwavering consistency, featuring in all 38 of Monaco’s Ligue 1 matches.

Eager to make a lasting impact at Chelsea, Disasi is determined to help the club secure titles and achieve success on all fronts. “I am very ambitious,” he enthusiastically expressed.

A seasoned international player, Disasi has already earned four caps for France, including a memorable substitute appearance in the 2022 World Cup final against Argentina.

However, Chelsea will have to wait for the return of Benoit Badiashile, who is recovering from a hamstring injury, and Wesley Fofana, facing a prolonged absence due to his anterior cruciate ligament injury.

The stage is set for Chelsea as they gear up for the upcoming Premier League season. The action kicks off on August 13, with an exciting home clash against Liverpool, and the fans can’t wait to witness Disasi’s impact on the field.
