Chery Master is all set to make waves in the Pakistani automotive market by unveiling three new locally assembled plug-in hybrid SUVs — Chery Tiggo 7 PHEV, Tiggo 8 PHEV, and Tiggo 9 PHEV.
These advanced hybrid models will make their official debut at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2025, where pricing and booking details are expected to be revealed.
With this launch, Chery aims to strengthen its position in Pakistan’s hybrid SUV segment, bringing cutting-edge technology, performance, and comfort to local consumers.
Performance and Powertrain
The Chery Tiggo 7 PHEV comes equipped with a single-motor configuration, producing a combined power output of 342 horsepower and 525 Nm of torque. It offers a two-wheel drive setup, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds.
The model is powered by an 18.3 kWh battery, supporting 40 kW DC fast charging, and offers a WLTP electric range of 77 km. Combined, it delivers an impressive 1,020 km total range.
The larger Chery Tiggo 8 PHEV features a dual-motor setup with 543 hp and 830 Nm of torque. It supports all-wheel drive (AWD) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds.
The SUV houses the same 18.3 kWh battery and 40 kW fast-charging capability, with a 77 km EV range and 1,020 km total WLTP range, ensuring power and endurance for longer drives.
At the top of the lineup, the Chery Tiggo 9 PHEV offers a triple-motor configuration, delivering a commanding 610 hp and 920 Nm torque. Its all-wheel drive system enables lightning-fast acceleration — 0–100 km/h in only 5.4 seconds.
The model includes a 34.46 kWh battery, 71 kW fast-charging, and an extended 145 km EV range, with a combined range of 1,190 km, setting a new benchmark in hybrid efficiency.
Design, Comfort, and Safety
The Tiggo 7, 8, and 9 boast dynamic SUV proportions and spacious cabins. The Tiggo 7 PHEV measures 4553 x 1862 x 1696 mm with a 2670 mm wheelbase, while the Tiggo 8 PHEV extends to 4725 x 1860 x 1705 mm with a 2710 mm wheelbase.
The flagship Tiggo 9 PHEV offers the most presence with 4810 x 1925 x 1741 mm dimensions and a 2800 mm wheelbase, ensuring commanding road stance and ample interior space.
In terms of capacity, the Tiggo 7 seats 5 passengers, whereas the Tiggo 8 and 9 offer 7-seat layouts, making them ideal for families.
Fuel tanks range from 60 liters (Tiggo 7 & 8) to 70 liters (Tiggo 9). Safety has also been prioritized, with 8 airbags in the Tiggo 7 and 10 airbags in the Tiggo 8 and 9 variants.
Technology and Features
All three SUVs support Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality — 3.3 kW for Tiggo 7 and 8, and 6.6 kW for the Tiggo 9 — allowing users to power external devices directly from the vehicle.
The Tiggo 7 rides on 18-inch wheels, the Tiggo 8 on 19-inch, and the Tiggo 9 on 20-inch alloy wheels, enhancing both aesthetics and performance stability.
Chery’s upcoming Tiggo lineup marks a major milestone in Pakistan’s transition toward electrified mobility.
