Islamabad, February 6, 2025 – Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan, is expected to experience a cold and cloudy weekend, with gradual improvement in temperatures as the days progress.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the city will see mostly sunny days; however, cloud cover is expected on Saturday, February 8, 2025, bringing a cooler atmosphere.

Today’s minimum temperature recorded in Islamabad was 3°C, which is slightly below the seasonal average. Over the next few days, temperatures are expected to rise slightly, ranging between 5°C and 7°C. Despite the chilly conditions, there are currently no significant rain or snowfall predictions for the city.

At the national level, the PMD reported that continental air is prevailing over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave is expected to approach the western regions of the country starting tomorrow evening or night. This could bring isolated rain and snow to northern areas but is unlikely to significantly impact Islamabad.
