According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the minimum temperature in Islamabad is expected to drop to 1 degree Celsius within the next 72 hours, intensifying the wintry conditions in the capital.
On Monday, February 3, 2025, the PMD forecasts that Islamabad and its surrounding areas will experience cold and dry weather throughout the day. However, the evening and night hours could see partly cloudy conditions with a chance of light rain and wind-driven drizzle.
For Tuesday, February 4, 2025, the weather in Islamabad is predicted to remain partly cloudy, with a possibility of drizzle in the morning. The cold spell will continue, keeping temperatures low and adding to the winter chill.

At the national level, the PMD reports that continental air is currently dominating most parts of Pakistan, while a westerly wave is likely to approach western regions later today.

Cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, isolated areas in northwestern Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may receive light rain and wind, with light snowfall over the hills during the evening and night hours.
Tuesday Forecast:
Most of the country will continue to experience cold and dry weather, but rain with wind and snowfall over the mountains is expected in Kashmir, northeast Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Additionally, light to moderate fog is likely in northeast Punjab during the early morning hours.

Over the past 24 hours, most parts of Pakistan remained cold and dry, while shallow to moderate fog was reported in northeastern Punjab.
