Islamabad, October 24, 2025 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted a notable drop in temperatures across the hilly regions of the country, predicting cold mornings and nights over the coming days.

Synoptic Situation:

A continental air mass continues to dominate most parts of Pakistan, maintaining dry weather conditions nationwide.

Friday Forecast:

Most areas of the country will remain dry; however, hilly regions and northern valleys such as Murree, Gilgit, Skardu, Swat, and Hunza are expected to experience cold nights with temperatures dipping significantly.

Saturday Forecast:

Dry weather will prevail across Pakistan, but cold spells are likely to intensify in the mountainous areas during morning and night hours. Residents and tourists in these regions are advised to prepare for chilly conditions.

Meanwhile, smog and air pollution are expected to persist in eastern Punjab, including Lahore, Gujranwala, and Faisalabad, due to prolonged dry weather. The PMD has urged citizens to take precautionary measures to minimize exposure.

Dry weather dominated most regions, while cold conditions persisted in the hilly areas.

Mithi, Turbat, and Lasbella each recorded 40°C, remaining among the hottest locations in the country.
