Connor Storrie, the rising star whose show Heated Rivalry recently went viral, opened up about his breakout role in a new interview. The 25-year-old actor made his first morning show appearance on The Today Show on Wednesday, January 14, where he addressed fans’ questions about the show and its upcoming sequel.
Storrie shared that fans are drawn to his and co-star Hudson Williams’ characters because their off-screen friendship translates naturally on screen. “I think people really connect with our chemistry,” he told host Craig Melvin, explaining why the show has resonated with viewers.
When asked about the sequel to the Canadian hit series, Storrie said, “I think Jacob’s still writing it,” referring to the show’s creator, Jacob Tierney. He added, “I think we’re going to be filming. I don’t know when, exactly.” Pressed about whether filming might start this summer, Storrie replied, “Yeah, I think about then,” confirming the likely timeline for fans eagerly awaiting the continuation.
Heated Rivalry is based on the popular book Game Changer by Rachel Reid. The upcoming sequel, currently in development, will draw inspiration from Reid’s follow-up novel, The Long Game.
Storrie’s candid interview not only highlighted his growing fame but also fueled excitement for the next chapter of the hit hockey television series.
