Capital Smart Motors (CSM) is set to revolutionize Pakistan’s automotive landscape with the introduction of new electric vehicles (EVs), starting with Completely Built-Up (CBU) units, followed by local assembly through Completely Knocked Down (CKD) operations.

This strategic move marks a significant step forward in the country’s transition to sustainable mobility.

CSM’s Chief Operating Officer, Abid S. Usmani, announced the company’s ambitious plans during a recent address.

He revealed that the brand has formed a strategic alliance with Geely, one of the world’s top automotive manufacturers. This partnership is aimed at bringing world-class EV technology to Pakistani consumers in a phased rollout.

Phase-Wise Rollout and Dealership Expansion

In Phase 1, CSM will introduce CBU electric vehicles, allowing immediate access to Geely’s premium EV offerings. Phase 2 will see the commencement of CKD operations, enabling local assembly and potentially reducing vehicle prices over time.

The company also announced that it will initially open dealerships in Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad. CSM is pursuing a rapid expansion plan, with the goal of establishing a strong dealership network across Pakistan to ensure widespread availability and customer support.

Technical Training and After-Sales Support

To ensure a smooth EV ownership experience, CSM has sent its technical team to China for extensive training in electric vehicle service and support.

This initiative aims to deliver a world-class after-sales experience, addressing one of the main concerns of EV buyers in the region.

Anticipated EV Models for Pakistan

Although the company has yet to officially disclose the EV models it plans to launch, CSM’s social media activity suggests the introduction of three flagship electric vehicles: the Zeekr X SUV, the Zeekr 009 MPV, and the Riddara EV pickup.

These models have already gained popularity in global markets and are expected to generate strong interest in Pakistan.

With the official launch drawing closer, CSM’s entry into the Pakistani EV market—backed by Geely—signals a bold move toward modern, eco-friendly transportation solutions that promise to redefine the local auto industry.
