Port Qasim Activity

Karachi, January 6, 2026 — The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) on Tuesday issued its daily shipping activity report to keep shipping lines, importers, exporters, and other stakeholders informed about vessel movements at the port.

According to the authority, the shipping activity report was updated at 8:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time (PST) and covers vessel operations recorded during the past 24 hours. The update includes details of ships that sailed from the port, newly berthed vessels, and those shifted between berths to support smooth cargo handling operations.

During the reporting period, multiple vessels departed Port Qasim carrying a variety of cargoes. Container vessel Seaspan Santos sailed from the QICT-VII terminal under the agency of GAC Shipping, while Mohammad M departed from M/W-II after loading a large consignment of polymers for export. These movements highlighted continued activity in both containerized and bulk cargo segments.

On the berthing side, several vessels arrived at the port to discharge essential imports. LPG carrier Sarwat Gas berthed at the SSGC terminal, while LNG carrier Gaslog Saratoga docked at the Pakistan GasPort terminal, reflecting sustained energy imports. In addition, vessels carrying palm oil, phosphoric acid, and containerized cargo also berthed at different terminals, indicating steady industrial and commercial demand.

The report further noted the shifting of vessels within the port to optimize berth utilization and ensure operational efficiency. Cement carrier Kouros Diamond and LPG vessel Bering Gas were shifted to designated berths to facilitate ongoing cargo operations.

Port Qasim Authority stated that regular publication of shipping activity reports helps stakeholders plan logistics, manage supply chains, and monitor port performance effectively.
