Karachi, December 31, 2025 — The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) on Wednesday released its daily shipping activity report to keep shipping lines, importers, exporters, and other port stakeholders informed about vessel movements at one of Pakistan’s busiest seaports.
According to the PQA, the report was updated at 8:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time (PST) and covers vessel operations recorded during the past 24 hours. The update includes details of ships that sailed, berthed, and shifted at various terminals and berths within Port Qasim.
During the reporting period, two vessels departed Port Qasim. One vessel carrying cement sailed from the multi-purpose berth, while a container vessel also departed after completing cargo operations at the container terminal. These sailings reflect steady export and containerized trade activity at the port.
The berthing schedule remained active, with several vessels docking at different terminals. Ships carrying soybean seed, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), gas oil, sand, and containerized cargo were berthed at dedicated facilities, including the Pakistan International Bulk Terminal, Qasim International Container Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal, Fotco Oil Terminal, SSGC terminal, and multi-purpose berths. The arrival of both dry bulk and liquid cargo vessels highlights Port Qasim’s diversified cargo handling capacity.
In addition, vessel shifting operations were also carried out to ensure smooth port logistics and optimal berth utilization. A tanker and a cement-carrying vessel were shifted between berths to facilitate ongoing cargo operations and accommodate incoming traffic.
Port officials stated that such routine updates are issued daily to maintain transparency and operational efficiency, enabling stakeholders to plan logistics, cargo handling, and shipping schedules effectively.
Port Qasim continues to play a strategic role in Pakistan’s maritime trade, handling a significant share of the country’s imports and exports, including energy products, food commodities, construction materials, and containerized goods.
