Karachi, September 24, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) released its daily update on shipping operations for Wednesday, highlighting key vessel movements over the past 24 hours. Issued at 8:00 AM, the report offers a comprehensive overview of arrivals, departures, and shifts at one of Pakistan’s busiest maritime hubs.
According to the PQA, the container vessel M.V. SPIL Kartika set sail from the port at 8:00 PM after completing loading and unloading operations at QICT-VII. In terms of berthing activity, three significant vessels arrived: M.V. Hansa Africa, which docked at QT2-II, M.V. SPIL Kartika which re-berthed at QICT-VII, and M.T. UOG Harriet G, which was accommodated at the FOTCO terminal for liquid cargo handling.
In addition to arrivals and departures, the shipping log recorded a vessel shift within the harbor. The dredger M.V. Indus Dolphin was relocated from the anchorage area to a different berth to facilitate ongoing dredging and channel maintenance, ensuring smooth navigation for commercial traffic.
Port Qasim remains a critical artery for Pakistan’s trade, handling a wide range of commodities including containers, liquid cargo, and bulk shipments. The PQA emphasized that efficient scheduling of shipping activity is vital for keeping cargo flow uninterrupted and meeting international trade commitments.
With consistent updates, the port continues to serve as a reliable gateway, strengthening Pakistan’s maritime logistics and global connectivity.
