Karachi, April 25, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) has released its latest daily report on shipping operations, highlighting vessel movements and cargo activity at Port Qasim over the past 24 hours.
The report, updated at 0800 hours on Friday, April 25, 2025, aims to keep port users and stakeholders informed of ongoing and completed maritime activities.
The report notes a steady flow of shipping operations, with both vessel arrivals and departures maintaining a smooth schedule. In terms of outbound traffic, two vessels completed their operations and sailed out from Port Qasim during the reporting period. Among them, the oil tanker M.T. Nave Estella departed from FOTCO terminal after discharging over 39,000 metric tons of high-speed diesel oil. Additionally, M.V. Atlantic Samurai, a bulk carrier, concluded unloading approximately 68,000 metric tons of soybean seed at PIBT and sailed out successfully.
On the inbound side, three vessels berthed at Port Qasim, contributing to the efficient management of port logistics. The LNG carrier M.T. Al Nuaman docked at EETL terminal to offload a substantial 140,159 metric tons of liquefied natural gas. M.T. Bentley I, carrying over 30,000 metric tons of palm oil, berthed at LCT terminal. Meanwhile, container vessels M.V. MSC Positano and M.V. Xpress Salween were also accommodated at QT2-II and QICT-VII terminals, respectively, later in the day.
These operations reflect the vital role Port Qasim plays in Pakistan’s maritime and economic infrastructure. With ongoing activity across various terminals, the port continues to handle a diverse range of commodities including petroleum products, LNG, edible oils, and containerized cargo. The seamless coordination of shipping and berth management at Port Qasim ensures that maritime trade flows remain uninterrupted, supporting national supply chains.
