Karachi, December 30, 2025 – The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) on Tuesday released its daily shipping operations update to keep shipping lines, terminal operators, importers, exporters, and other stakeholders informed about vessel movements at the port. The update reflects maritime activity recorded during the last 24 hours and was issued at 8:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
According to the PQA, port operations remained active with the sailing and berthing of multiple vessels carrying containers, bunker fuel, and bulk cargo. These daily reports are essential for maintaining transparency in port operations and ensuring smooth coordination among shipping agents, logistics companies, and port authorities.
During the reporting period, the container vessel M.V. Albert P, registered with PQA under number 36804, sailed from Port Qasim. The vessel, with an overall length of 261 meters, was carrying containerized cargo and departed from the Qasim International Container Terminal (QICT-VII). The ship maintained a draft of 12 meters both aft and forward and was handled by GAC Shipping, with its estimated time of departure recorded at 6:00 PM.
On the berthing side, three vessels arrived at the port. The container ship M.V. GFS Genesis, measuring 240 meters in length, berthed at QT2-II at 9:30 AM under the agency of X-Press Feeders. Additionally, M.T. Marine Ista, a 103-meter-long tanker, docked at the same berth to supply bunker fuel, managed by Al-Pine Marine. Meanwhile, the bulk carrier M.V. Unity Maria berthed at the Pakistan International Bulk Terminal (PIBT) carrying 54,300 metric tons of coal, reflecting continued activity in the energy and industrial supply chain.
Port Qasim remains one of Pakistan’s busiest seaports, handling a wide range of imports and exports. Regular updates on shipping operations help stakeholders plan cargo movements efficiently and support uninterrupted trade flow across the country.
