Karachi, February 25, 2026 — The Port Qasim Authority (PQA) on Wednesday released its daily shipping operations report, providing details of vessel movements and cargo handling activities over the past 24 hours to facilitate port users, shipping agents, and other stakeholders.

According to the PQA, the shipping operations were updated at 8:00 AM PKT, covering berthing and shifting activities of vessels at various terminals of the port.

Berthing of vessels

Several vessels carrying containers, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and bulk commodities berthed at different terminals during the reporting period. M.V. Hansa Europe and M.V. Westerly, both container ships, berthed at QICT-VII and QT2-I, respectively, handling containerized cargo. Meanwhile, M.T. Horizon 1 berthed at the SSGC terminal, carrying 3,183 metric tons of LPG, catering to domestic energy requirements.

Bulk carriers M.V. AM Ocean Pearl and M.V. KM Weipa also arrived at the port, unloading significant volumes of coal, amounting to 50,150 metric tons and 58,930 metric tons, respectively, at PQEPT and PIBT terminals. These shipments are expected to support industrial and power generation needs across the country.

Shifting of vessels

During the same period, M.V. Grand Ocean, loaded with 65,200 metric tons of canola seed, was shifted from the outer anchorage to another designated berth under the supervision of Al-Pine Marine, ensuring smooth operational flow and optimized berth utilization.

Port officials stated that routine monitoring and coordinated vessel handling helped maintain smooth port operations, minimize congestion, and ensure timely cargo clearance. Stakeholders were advised to stay updated with official port advisories for real-time operational planning.

The daily shipping report reflects Port Qasim’s vital role in Pakistan’s maritime trade, facilitating the movement of essential imports, energy supplies, and industrial raw materials.
