Dakota and Elle Fanning are teaming up to bring Paris Hilton’s life story to the screen, developing a new project based on the socialite’s 2023 memoir Paris: The Memoir.
In an interview with People Magazine, Dakota Fanning confirmed that the project is currently in development under the sisters’ production company.
“It’s one of many projects that we’re doing together [and] is something that our company’s developing,” said the Man on Fire star.
The actress expressed admiration for Hilton, calling the opportunity a dream come true.
“We loved Paris Hilton growing up so much. So when the opportunity came about to be a partner in telling her story, it was just so exciting,” Dakota said.
She went on to praise both Hilton’s public image and her personal growth, adding, “We have a genuine, deep love for the persona of Paris Hilton and also now the person Paris.”
The Fanning sisters, known for their successful individual acting careers, are also set to star together for the first time in the upcoming film The Nightingale.
Previously, they shared in a joint statement to Entertainment Weekly, “The Nightingale will be the first time we act on screen together. We’ve played the same character at different ages but never spoken to each other in front of a camera.”
The highly anticipated film The Nightingale is scheduled for release on February 12, 2027.
