Deepal S07 PHEV makes debut with 100 km electric range

Changan’s Deepal S07 Ultra PHEV has arrived in Greece with 254 hp, nearly 1,000 km combined range and a starting price of EUR 36,000.

Changan has introduced the Deepal S07 Ultra PHEV to the European market at Auto Athina 2026 in Greece, expanding the S07 lineup beyond its battery-electric and extended-range versions. The plug-in hybrid crossover starts at EUR 36,000, equivalent to around USD 40,280.

The European-spec Deepal S07 PHEV features a slightly revised exterior, including distinctive bumpers and black semi-hidden door handles. Apart from these changes, the crossover retains the overall styling of the existing S07 range.

Measuring 4,750 mm long, 1,930 mm wide and 1,625 mm tall, the S07 offers a 2,900 mm wheelbase. Its dimensions place it close to premium midsize SUVs, with the model being only 5 mm shorter than the current BMW X3.

Under the hood, the S07 Ultra PHEV uses a 1.5-liter petrol engine producing 94 hp. Rather than driving the wheels directly, the engine operates as a generator to supply electricity and support the vehicle’s 18.4 kWh LFP battery pack.

Propulsion comes from a rear-mounted electric motor developing 190 kW, or 254 hp. The setup enables the Deepal S07 PHEV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, while its top speed is rated at 185 km/h.

The crossover can travel up to 100 km using electric power alone. Its battery supports DC fast charging at rates of up to 55 kW, while the overall driving range with the range-extender system is approximately 1,000 km.

Changan states that the S07 Ultra PHEV produces just 49 grams of CO2 per kilometer. The low emissions figure could make the model particularly attractive for corporate users in Greece, where it can qualify for zero corporate-use tax under applicable rules.

The entry-level version is priced at EUR 36,000, while the higher trim costs EUR 39,000, or about USD 43,610. Buyers placing orders during Auto Athina 2026 can also receive a EUR 1,000 discount.
