Toyota Corolla current model discontinued in Pakistan as facelift nears

Indus Motor Company removes the existing Corolla from its online lineup as the facelifted Altis is expected to arrive with updated exterior styling.

The current-generation Toyota Corolla appears to have been discontinued in Pakistan as Indus Motor Company (IMC) quietly removes the model from its official lineup. While the company has not issued a formal announcement regarding the discontinuation, the removal comes as expectations grow over the arrival of a facelifted Corolla Altis.

The existing Corolla was previously listed among Toyota Pakistan’s locally available models. Its disappearance from the company’s website indicates that IMC may be preparing to transition to the updated version rather than continue offering the current design.

The development comes after the facelifted Corolla was recently spotted, providing an early look at the changes planned for the popular sedan. The updated model retains the familiar overall body structure but receives several styling revisions, particularly at the front and rear.

At the front, the facelifted Corolla features redesigned headlights along with changes to the grille and bumper. The revisions give the sedan a more contemporary appearance while maintaining the basic proportions and character of the existing Corolla.

The side profile appears largely unchanged, with the familiar doors, windows and overall body shape carried over from the current model. This suggests that Toyota is focusing primarily on exterior refinements rather than introducing major structural changes.

The rear section is also expected to receive styling updates. The spotted unit features revised tail lamps and a redesigned bumper treatment, adding further visual differences compared with the outgoing model.

Importantly, the vehicle seen in the recent images carries Altis and 1.8 X badging, indicating that the facelift will continue under the Corolla Altis nameplate. The familiar body dimensions and design language further confirm that the upcoming vehicle is a facelift rather than an entirely new Corolla generation.

With the current model no longer appearing on IMC’s website, attention is now shifting toward the official launch of the facelifted Toyota Corolla in Pakistan. Details regarding its variants, specifications, features and pricing are expected to be revealed by the company ahead of its introduction.
