Deepal has officially revealed its all-new K50 Hunter, a rugged yet high-tech pickup truck that is set to launch in Pakistan soon.

The K50 Hunter is not just another addition to the local pickup market — it’s the world’s first mass-produced Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) pickup, making it one of the most innovative trucks to arrive in the region.

Built on a body-on-frame chassis, the Deepal K50 Hunter combines traditional pickup toughness with cutting-edge electric technology. Designed for both off-road adventures and heavy-duty tasks, it promises the performance of a diesel-powered pickup with the smooth, silent drive of an EV. This blend of strength and sustainability positions the K50 Hunter as a trailblazer in Pakistan’s fast-evolving automotive market.

Prices and Market Positioning

Deepal has yet to reveal the official price for the K50 Hunter in Pakistan, but market analysts expect it to be competitively priced against established names such as the Toyota Hilux Revo and Isuzu D-Max. Given its advanced hybrid-electric system and luxury-grade features, the K50 Hunter will likely appeal to both commercial users and urban buyers seeking a modern, powerful, and eco-friendly pickup.

Performance and REEV Powertrain

The highlight of the K50 Hunter is its REEV (Range-Extended Electric Vehicle) system. Unlike conventional hybrids, the REEV setup ensures the electric motors drive the wheels, while the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine functions only as a generator to recharge the battery when needed.

With a 31.18 kWh battery and a dual-motor AWD setup, the K50 Hunter produces 268 horsepower and 470 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds. It offers an impressive 111 km of pure electric range (WLTP) and can be charged via DC fast charging (30–80% in 30 minutes) or AC charging (6.6 kW).

The pickup’s towing capacity of 2,500 kg and ground clearance of 220 mm ensure it’s ready for work, travel, and everything in between.

Exterior Design and Utility

Measuring 5380 mm in length, 1980 mm in width, and 1920 mm in height, with a 1327-liter cargo bed, the K50 Hunter blends size and sophistication. It features 18-inch alloy wheels, roof-mounted lights, roll bars, auto headlights, side steps, and rain sensors — all adding to its bold, off-road-ready appearance.

The electric tailgate assist and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function make it even more versatile, allowing users to power tools, lights, or camping equipment directly from the truck.

Interior and Technology

Inside, the K50 Hunter offers a premium, driver-focused cabin with 6-way powered and ventilated front seats, rear air vents, and a wireless phone charger. The 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while a mobile app enables remote access and control.

Safety and Assistance Systems

Safety is another major highlight. The K50 Hunter comes equipped with six airbags, a 540-degree camera system, DVR recording, and advanced driver assistance features. It also includes electronic parking brake with auto-hold, ensuring modern safety and convenience.

The Deepal K50 Hunter stands as a groundbreaking entry into Pakistan’s pickup market — offering EV technology, hybrid flexibility, and pickup toughness in one package. As the world’s first REEV pickup, it represents a bold step toward electrified utility vehicles, combining performance, innovation, and environmental responsibility for a new generation of drivers.
