Disney has officially expanded the cast of its highly anticipated animated sequel Zootopia 2, confirming the addition of Yvette Nicole Brown and Patrick Warburton during a panel at Destination D23.

The news comes just weeks after the release of the first trailer, building excitement for the film’s November 26, 2025, premiere.

Brown will lend her voice to two cameo roles, portraying The Bearoness and EMT Otter, while Warburton has been announced as the voice of Mayor Winddancer — a charismatic yet clueless stallion who longs to be as heroic in real life as the television characters he once played.

The Oscar-winning team behind the original Zootopia returns for the sequel, with Jared Bush and Byron Howard directing and Yvett Merino producing. Fans were also treated to new stills showcasing Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) alongside Brown’s Bearoness character at a festive gathering, as well as Warburton’s Mayor Winddancer addressing reporters at a press conference.

Zootopia 2 will follow rookie cops Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde after solving the city’s biggest case. Ordered by Chief Bogo (Idris Elba) to attend the “Partners in Crisis” counseling program, the duo soon faces their toughest test yet when they encounter a new threat linked to a venomous snake.

The sequel introduces fresh characters including Gary De’Snake (Ke Huy Quan), Nibbles (Fortune Feimster), and therapist Dr. Fuzzby (Quinta Brunson), while bringing back fan favorites like Gazelle (Shakira), Clawhauser (Nate Torrence), Flash (Raymond Persi), and Mr. Big (Maurice LaMarche).

With Pixar’s Elio underperforming earlier this summer, Disney is counting on Zootopia 2 to deliver box office success. Family-oriented animated films have historically thrived in the November release slot, and with a billion-dollar franchise name behind it, Disney hopes this sequel will continue the momentum.

Zootopia 2 will open in theaters nationwide on November 26, 2025, promising audiences a mix of comedy, mystery, and heartfelt storytelling.
