Samsung Electronics has announced that Pixar Animation Studios has successfully mastered its latest animated film, “Elemental,” in stunning 4K theatrical High Dynamic Range (HDR) format.

The film, which was released globally on June 16, will be exclusively available for viewing on Samsung Onyx, the world’s first Cinema LED screen. By leveraging the cutting-edge capabilities of Onyx theaters, viewers can expect an immersive and vibrant experience enhanced by next-generation 4K HDR picture quality.

Samsung Onyx, the world’s inaugural Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI)-certified cinema display, revolutionizes the traditional projection-based systems that have dominated the industry for over a century. This LED screen delivers exceptional color reproduction and the finest level of detail, surpassing the limited contrast ratio and brightness associated with conventional projectors. With millions of additional colors that cannot be reproduced by standard projection methods, Onyx sets a new standard for visual excellence.
