Dongfeng Pakistan has officially disclosed the periodic maintenance schedule and service rates for its all-electric Dongfeng Box, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to transparency, affordability, and hassle-free electric vehicle ownership.
Shared under the message “No surprises. No hidden costs. Just smart electric ownership with BOX,” the announcement highlights how EVs continue to offer lower running and maintenance expenses compared to conventional fuel-powered cars.
According to the details released by Dongfeng Pakistan in collaboration with Chawla Green Motors, the Box EV comes with complimentary maintenance for the initial service intervals, significantly reducing ownership costs during the early years.
The first three scheduled services — at 1,000 km or one month, 5,000 km or six months, and 10,000 km or 12 months — are completely free of labor charges, making the ownership experience even more appealing for first-time EV buyers.
As per the official periodic maintenance schedule, the 20,000 km or 24-month service is priced at PKR 9,500, while the 40,000 km or 36-month service costs PKR 12,800.
The 60,000 km or 60-month maintenance visit is again priced at PKR 9,500.
These rates reflect labor charges only and demonstrate the comparatively lower service costs associated with electric vehicles due to fewer moving parts and simplified mechanical systems.
Dongfeng Pakistan has clarified that the maintenance schedule follows the “whichever comes first” principle, ensuring vehicle reliability regardless of driving patterns.
Additionally, any extra jobs identified during inspection or parts replacement requirements will be charged separately, depending on vehicle condition. Applicable taxes and parts costs are not included in the listed prices.
Another key highlight for Box EV owners is that software updates provided during the vehicle’s warranty period will be offered free of cost, adding further value to long-term ownership.
The company has also reserved the right to revise service rates in the future, although current pricing reflects a strong focus on cost predictability and customer trust.
With rising fuel prices and growing interest in electric mobility across Pakistan, the Dongfeng Box positions itself as a smart urban EV with clear ownership economics.
By openly sharing its periodic maintenance costs, Dongfeng Pakistan is setting a positive benchmark for transparency in the local EV market, making the Box EV an attractive choice for budget-conscious and environmentally aware consumers.
