Global pop sensation Dua Lipa lived out a lifelong dream when she performed on stage with Green Day’s iconic frontman, Billie Joe Armstrong, during her sold-out shows at the Chase Center in San Francisco over the weekend.

The Levitating hitmaker dazzled fans on Saturday, October 11, and Sunday, October 12, with back-to-back performances that highlighted her artistry, energy, and deep musical roots.

On the first night, Lipa delivered a soulful cover of Janis Joplin’s classic Piece of My Heart. But the following evening, she surprised the audience by inviting Armstrong on stage to perform Wake Me Up When September Ends — creating an unforgettable moment that electrified the crowd.

Following the performance, Lipa took to Instagram to express her joy and disbelief. “SAN FRANCISCO!!!! I can’t believe my life sometimes,” she wrote, sharing a carousel of highlights. “Singing Wake Me Up When September Ends with Billie Joe Armstrong felt like stepping straight into a dream I never thought would come true.”

Lipa also reflected on her childhood, recalling memories of listening to Green Day’s American Idiot album on her Walkman and dreaming of moments like this. “Still trying to find the words,” she added, “but I loved everything about last night. Beyond surreal. Thank you!”

As Lipa continues her tour, she’s set to perform next at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena on October 15 and 16, keeping fans excited for more magical performances.
