Islamabad, January 31, 2025 – Residents of Islamabad can expect a slight relief from the ongoing cold spell, as the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts a gradual ease in cold conditions over the next 72 hours.

The temperatures in Islamabad and its surroundings are expected to remain stable, with minimum readings fluctuating between 5°C and 6°C until Sunday, February 2, 2025.

The PMD predicts that Islamabad will experience cold and partly cloudy weather on Friday, January 31, 2025. Similar conditions will persist on Saturday, February 1, 2025, with partly cloudy skies and chilly temperatures in Islamabad and nearby regions. No significant rainfall is expected in Islamabad during this period, making outdoor activities feasible with proper winter attire.

At a national level, the PMD has reported that a westerly wave is currently influencing the upper regions of the country, which may result in some weather variations. However, Islamabad is expected to remain largely dry with only intermittent cloud cover.
