Sydney Sweeney is known for her powerful performances, but the actress recently revealed that her emotional intensity on set sometimes leaves her feeling guilty—especially for her co-stars.
In a candid interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, June 5, Sydney Sweeney spoke about her upcoming film Echo Valley, and how deeply she immerses herself into her roles. The 27-year-old star admitted she often feels “psychotic” because of how quickly she has to switch emotions while filming.
“I’ll jump into my trailer completely myself, and then I walk out as this emotionally intense character,” Sydney Sweeney shared. Fallon joked about the emotional whiplash, saying, “Like, you’re happy and fun, and then…,” to which Sweeney responded, “And then they say, ‘Action!’ and then I’m screaming and crying.”
The Euphoria actress went on to say that when the director yells “Cut!”, she instantly reverts to her normal self, confusing everyone on set. “They think something’s wrong with me,” she joked, drawing laughter from the audience.
Sweeney also opened up about working with Julianne Moore, who plays her mother in Echo Valley. Calling Moore “the most incredible human being,” Sydney Sweeney expressed admiration for her veteran co-star. However, things weren’t always calm between them onscreen.
“There were some intense arguing scenes, and I felt so bad,” Sweeney admitted. “I did. ‘Cause I am… I’m vicious. I’m really vicious.” Despite the on-screen tension, it’s clear that the mutual respect between the two actresses remains strong.
With Echo Valley scheduled for release on June 13, fans are eager to see another powerhouse performance from Sydney Sweeney. Whether she’s screaming on screen or cracking jokes off it, Sweeney proves time and again that her commitment to her craft is both intense and inspiring.
Sydney Sweeney continues to solidify her place in Hollywood, blending raw emotion with undeniable charisma—making Echo Valley one of the most anticipated releases of the season.
