Ed Sheeran’s final show in Hamburg, Germany on Sunday, July 6, turned into a magical spectacle — thanks to an unexpected downpour that added a dramatic flair to his performance.
The four-time Grammy Award winner was performing at the Volksparkstadion as part of the European leg of his +−=÷× Tour (Mathematics Tour), when rain suddenly began to pour mid-show. Instead of dampening the mood, the weather elevated the energy of the crowd and added a cinematic touch to the night.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Sheeran shared a clip from the unforgettable moment, writing: “Gig in the rain are just always better, thank you for the energy Hamburg. Loved the 3 shows x.”
The video showed Sheeran fully soaked, dancing and performing on stage with his signature energy and enthusiasm. The camera panned to thousands of fans in the packed stadium, cheering and dancing in the rain. The performance concluded with a dazzling fireworks display, making it a night to remember.
Sheeran’s Hamburg concerts were scheduled for July 4, 5, and 6, 2025, marking the end of his three-night run in the city. Notably, during the July 6 show, he performed alongside his high school band members and the lead singer of Wheatus, offering fans a nostalgic twist to the evening.
The Mathematics Tour, which began in April 2022, is currently in its final European stretch. This leg kicked off in Madrid on May 30 and will wrap up in Dusseldorf, Germany on September 7, 2025.
With every show, Ed Sheeran continues to connect deeply with fans through powerful performances, unforgettable collaborations, and now — even weather-enhanced moments. The Hamburg rainstorm concert has quickly become one of the standout highlights of the tour, proving once again that Sheeran knows how to turn any moment into magic.
