Karachi, June 5, 2025 – Engro Fertilizers Limited, one of Pakistan’s leading fertilizer manufacturers, has announced an unscheduled shutdown of its EnVen plant due to maintenance requirements.

The announcement was made in an official filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Thursday, in line with Sections 96 and 131 of the Securities Act, 2015 and Clause 5.6.1(a) of the PSX Rule Book.

According to the statement, the EnVen plant, a key production facility of Engro Fertilizers, has been temporarily taken offline to address unforeseen technical issues that require immediate attention. The unscheduled shutdown is expected to last for approximately four days. During this period, specialized maintenance work will be carried out to ensure the plant resumes safe and efficient operations.

While the EnVen plant remains offline, Engro Fertilizers has confirmed that its Base Plant will continue to operate at normal capacity. This will help mitigate the impact of the EnVen outage and ensure a stable supply of fertilizers to customers in the short term. The company has emphasized that the shutdown is preventive in nature and is part of their commitment to operational excellence and safety.

Engro Fertilizers reassured its stakeholders, including investors, partners, and customers, that all necessary efforts are being made to complete the maintenance swiftly. The company has mobilized technical teams and resources to minimize downtime and bring the EnVen facility back into operation within the estimated timeframe.

This update is part of Engro Fertilizers’ standard transparency practices and reflects its ongoing communication with shareholders through the PSX. The company plays a significant role in Pakistan’s agriculture sector, providing essential fertilizer products that support crop productivity and food security.

Although the unscheduled shutdown may temporarily affect overall production, Engro Fertilizers remains confident in its ability to maintain supply levels and continue serving the farming community without major disruption. Updates regarding the plant’s progress and resumption of operations will be shared as maintenance work proceeds.
