FBR assures Customs agents of resolving issues

Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmed, Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), assured a delegation of customs agents of resolving pertinent issues related to imports and exports.

The meeting took place in Islamabad and included representatives from key customs agents associations.

The delegation comprised Saif Ullah Khan, President of the Karachi Customs Agents Association; Qamar ul Islam, Chairman of the All Pakistan Customs Agents Association; and Asif Sakhi, Founder & Chairman of the Pakistan Customs Agents Alliance. The meeting provided a platform for a comprehensive discussion on the challenges encountered by the trade, business community, and Customs House Agents.

During the meeting, Chairman FBR, Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmed, demonstrated a patient and attentive approach, listening carefully to the issues raised by the trade representatives and Customs Agents. He assured the delegation of the FBR’s commitment to extending full cooperation in addressing and resolving the challenges faced by the trade community. The assurance was given with the overarching goal of promoting a favorable environment for trade and facilitating smoother import and export processes.

Recognizing the pivotal role played by Customs Agents Associations in contributing to the country’s economy, Chairman FBR emphasized the importance of their role in achieving national revenue targets.
