Hyderabad Chamber and Cystence Private Limited organize an awareness session to guide traders and industrialists on digital invoicing requirements and software implementation.
The Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders & Small Industry (HCSTSI), in collaboration with Cystence Private Limited, organized a special awareness and training session on FBR Digital Invoicing at the Chamber Secretariat. The event was attended by chamber members, traders, industrialists and representatives of the local business community.
The session aimed to familiarize participants with the procedures, requirements and practical applications of the Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) digital invoicing system. It also focused on helping businesses understand how digital invoicing can be incorporated into their daily operations.
Cystence Explains Finards Lite Software
During the event, Syed Anas Shah, Chief Executive Officer of Cystence Private Limited, delivered a detailed presentation on Finards Lite, a cloud-based invoicing, Point of Sale (POS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform integrated with FBR Digital Invoicing.
He explained how businesses can use the software to issue invoices, maintain sales and billing records, and transmit relevant invoice information to the FBR system. The presentation also covered the practical steps involved in implementing the platform.
According to the presentation, Finards Lite offers several features designed to simplify digital invoicing. These include FBR-compliant invoice generation, POS and ERP integration, QR code creation and the issuance of FBR Invoice Reference Numbers.
The software also provides a centralized dashboard for monitoring invoices and FBR responses. Participants were briefed on tracking failed or pending invoices and transmitting data after internet connectivity is restored.
Chamber Calls for Greater Digital Readiness
In his welcome address, Ahmed Idrees Chohan, Senior Vice President of HCSTSI, described the training session as a positive initiative for Hyderabad’s business community.
He emphasized that businesses are increasingly adopting digital systems and that traders and industrialists need to prepare for evolving regulatory and technological requirements.
Chohan said the chamber arranged the session to improve coordination between businesses and the FBR, address traders’ concerns, and provide practical guidance on digital invoicing procedures.
He added that the Hyderabad Chamber would continue holding awareness and training programs to assist the business community.
Participants Raise Practical Questions
During the concluding discussion, participants asked questions about invoice issuance, software usage, recordkeeping and integration with the FBR system. Representatives of Cystence, along with Muhammad Zubair Memon, ACCA, responded to their queries and provided further guidance.
Arif Memon, Co-Convener of the FBR Sub-Committee, members of the Executive Committee, senior chamber officials, general body members, traders and industrialists also attended the session.
