FBR says return filing system working seamlessly

KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Wednesday explained the IRIS portal working normally and it received 150,000 returns on September 28, 2021.

Therefore, the FBR said there will not be any extension in the statutory date of filing of income tax returns for Tax Year 2021.

The last date of filing of income tax returns for Individuals, AOPs and companies having a special tax year is September 30, 2021.

FBR has stated in a press release that the system is working seamlessly and around 150,000 returns were filed on September 28, 2021, which was the highest ever number filed in a single day.
