The FBR issued a notification on Friday, outlining the changes in positions for officers ranging from BS-17 to BS-20, effective immediately and until further orders.

The reshuffle, a routine practice within government institutions, is aimed at optimizing human resources and bringing fresh perspectives to key roles within the Pakistan Customs Service. The transferred officers will assume their new responsibilities in various capacities across the country.

Among the notable transfers are:

1. Sadiqullah Khan (BS-20), previously Director at Pakistan Customs Academy (PCA), Karachi, has been appointed as Director, Directorate of Customs Valuation, Peshawar.

These changes encompass various other officers, reflecting a comprehensive restructuring initiative undertaken by the FBR.

Additionally, officers holding performance allowances before the issuance of this notification will continue to receive the allowance at their new place of posting. The officers recommended for OPS (Own Pay Scale) will exercise powers of the higher post under section 5(2) of the Customs Act, 1969.

Furthermore, the FBR clarified that a previous notification’s transfer/posting for an officer has been canceled ab-initio, and adjustments have been made for others regarding their new place of posting.

The reshuffle aims to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the Pakistan Customs Service, ensuring a dynamic and responsive workforce in key positions. Such periodic changes are essential to fostering a proactive and adaptable environment within government institutions.
